As a leader of DG’s food category and driven by her passion for the fast-paced nature of retail and desire to make a tangible impact, Heather Land carries out DG’s mission of Serving Others by focusing her strategy on providing convenient access to affordable food.
Heather joined Dollar General in 2017 as a buyer and currently leads a team of merchants to carry out a customer-focused strategy that keeps the needs of families top of mind. She has been instrumental in developing programs focused on better serving specific customer demographics and tailors store assortments to ensure DG remains responsive to the evolving needs of its customers. Working in lock step with some of the largest consumer package good manufacturers, Heather and team cultivate and manage relationships, helping ensure partnerships remain strong while streamlining the delivery of products that meet the needs of DG’s customer base.
In addition to Heather’s efforts to drive DG’s success, she helps develop other female talent through the IGNITE mentorship program, DG’s Women’s Professional Network Employee Resource Group, and NextUp Nashville.
